D.I.G. Trail Design is a highly skilled Professional Trail Building Company based out of Rossland B.C. We specialize in the design and construction of all types of pump-tracks, multi or specific use trails and mountain bike skill parks. We are a small, flexible company who have been building qualityprojects for 5 years.
Our Mission
We aim to address the needs of users, land managers, and the distinctive qualities of each piece of land through a hybrid of hand building and unique machine building techniques.
Whether constructing trails or bike parks, our goal is to provide communities with a one of a kind outdoor recreation experience. We can help you to grow the appeal of trails in your community and spearhead the rising opportunity for outdoor recreation.
This is a summer-long part time position that has the possibility of being extended.
Salary will be dependent on experience: $15-$30/hour
Shift: During the summer months a typical 40hour work-week should be expected. Projects are located throughout the province and will require the successful applicant to temporarily relocate to suit each project. Housing and meals are provided.
I. Job Summary
Trail construction, including placing of geo-fabric, chainsaw, compactor and hand shaping tools.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform on-site design. Terrain interpretation ability is key to ensure drainage requirements; structural stability and trail flow is achieved.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory duties.
IV. Qualifications and experience
Competent and passionate mountain bike rider is a must.
Experience building dirt jumps and/or mountain bike trails.
Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
Experience: Skid steer & excavator operation an asset
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
18 years of age or older
Class 5 or higher drivers’ license
Legally eligible to work in Canada
